Musselman Honda Circuit SuperMoto Rider

Requirements:

Experience SuperMoto at Musselman Honda Circuit .

You must have approved safety gear and a well maintained bike with sliders on all protruding points “axle, pegs, etc”.

What you can ride:

A. Scooters 50cc to 450cc
B. Mini Moto 50 cc to 85cc
C. Road Racer 250cc
D. Supermoto 50cc to 450
E. Quad Moto
F. NSR
G. YSR & Derbi's

Quad Requirements 

 

- Kill switch with wrist band / laniard that kills the motor when

 

detached from quad

 

- Maximum width of 52" from outside to outside of tires

 

- All quads must have nerf bars

 

- All nerf bars, bumpers, and grab bars must be of continuous

 

loop style with no open ends and no sharp edges

 

These items will all be verified at tech inspection.  If your quad

does not meet these requirements, you will not be allowed to

enter the track.

About Supermoto:

Supermoto is a cross-over or evolution of motocross and road racing. Races are commonly held on road racing or medium sized go-kart tracks with an off-road section in the infield. The courses are about 70% asphalt and 30% dirt. The motorcycles used are frequently custom-created combinations of off-road motorcycles and road-racing rims/tires. Riders also wear a combination of road race and off-road equipment, normally leathers and a motocross helmet and boots. Unlike normal motorcycle racing, the emphasis lies on slower short and twisty tracks, where rider skill matters far more than outright machine performance.

Some History:

SuperMoto (also known as Supermotard) emerged in the United States in the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s with the popularity of the ABC Wide World of Sports television series “Superbikers”. This series had select riders from the disciplines of road racing, flat track, and motocross compete against each other in order to answer the bigger question of who was the best of the best. The U.S. series may have faded into history but the Europeans adopted the sport and have elevated it to new levels (Supermotard is the French translation derived from the word “superbikers”). The sport has developed a huge European following as evidenced by the debut of an FIM sanctioned World Championship in 2002. SuperMoto has shown a huge comeback in the United States with riders of all facets of motorcycle racing becoming involved with the AMA Redbull Series and the AMA SuperMoto Grand Championships both emerging in 2003
